VEIL / ABOUT

Your profile,
interpreted.

An X profile tells one story. A wallet tells another. Veil is an ongoing art experiment exploring what happens when signals from both are interpreted together.

01 / THE IDEA

What is Veil?

Veil started with a simple question: what if a profile could become something visual without trying to copy the person behind it?

On X, people leave traces through their posts, the way they participate, and the communities they move between. Onchain, wallets leave a different kind of record: transactions, contracts, and interactions that can be read on public networks. Neither tells the whole story. Together, they offer a different starting point for an interpretation.

Veil explores those traces as material for generative art. The result isn't meant to be a portrait, a status symbol, or a judgment about someone's account. It's a creative reading of publicly observable signals.

02 / THE SIGNALS

Two sides of an identity.

A profile on X

An X account is more than its username or follower count. It has a history, a voice, and a place in the conversations happening around it. Depending on the experiment, Veil looks at available profile signals as one piece of the input, not as a score of how important someone is.

Activity onchain

Wallet interactions record a different part of participation in crypto: moving across networks, using contracts, and trying things as they emerge. Where those records are readable, they can influence the direction of an artwork without deciding its entire outcome.

03 / THE INTERPRETATION

Not a ranking. Not a replica.

Veil isn't trying to decide who has the best profile, the largest wallet, or the strongest onchain reputation. Activity can inform an artwork without turning it into a predictable formula. There's room for chance, variation, and unexpected results.

That balance is the part I'm interested in: taking recognizable signals from crypto culture and letting them lead somewhere less obvious than another leaderboard.

04 / THE EXPERIMENT

An idea that keeps changing.

Crypto never really sits still. New NFT plays, mechanics, chains, and metas keep showing up. Rather than making Veil a single finished concept, I want to keep using it as a place to explore those changes through new experiments.

Some experiments lean more toward social identity, some toward onchain behavior, and others toward how people interact with agents. The approach may change, but the curiosity stays the same: what can a profile and its onchain traces become?
